The newly refurbished Piccadilly Station is only a few minutes' walk from the Manchester Conference Centre.

When you arrive, head for the escalators at the left of the concourse and follow the signs for 'Taxis'. Immediately outside the station main entrance, turn right and cross London Road, then cross Fairfield Street to the Bulls Head pub. Turn down Lower Pump Street and proceed under the railway arch (passing Echoes Nursery on your right). Turn right onto Altrincham Street and continue to the security lodge. Turn left and you will see the Manchester Conference Centre.

At the bottom of the station-approach, cross Oxford Street into Whitworth Street (to the right of the Palace Theatre); turn right before the University's Sackville Street Building and continue along Sackville Street. Pass under the railway and the Manchester Conference Centre is on your right..

Follow Stretford signs onto M60. Leave at Exit 12 and join M602 Salford. At end of Motorway, follow A57 Manchester sign (Regent Road) for approximately one mile. Proceed under railway bridge, continuing onto A57M (Mancunian Way). On A57M take second exit; immediately fork right onto slip-road into Sackville Street. Following the sign for the University, turn left at the Retro Bar into Charles Street for the NCP car park.

Leave motorway at Exit 17 signed Manchester City Centre, and follow A56 towards Manchester for four miles (Bury New Road, becoming Great Ducie Street). Enter city under railway bridges and keep straight ahead, still on A56, into Deansgate. After half a mile, after passing Kendal's store, turn left at traffic lights (signed Universities) into John Dalton Street and go straight ahead at next lights into Princess Street. After half a mile, pass under railway-bridge and immediately turn left at lights into Charles Street. NCP car park is on your left.

Follow A6 signs towards Manchester City Centre until you reach the flyover junction with A57M. Continue on A6 and in 200 yards pass under railway-bridge; turn left at traffic lights into Fairfield Street. Pass Sackville Street Building on left in 200 yards, and then turn left at next lights into Sackville Street. Pass under railway-bridge and turn right into Charles Street for NCP car park.

Follow signs for Manchester through Congleton. After three quarters of a mile through Alderley Edge, take the second exit at the roundabout still following the A34. In seven miles, pass over M60 and continue for a further three miles. At the roundabout take the second exit, following signs for Longsight. Ignore the A34 for the City Centre, which takes the first exit and passes under the railway. In one mile merge with A6 and follow this road t owards the City Centre; proceed from here as described for Derbyshire above.

Follow Manchester signs past Manchester Airport to the end of M56 Motorway; keep straight ahead onto A5103 Manchester for four miles. On reaching roundabout beneath overhead road, take third exit following A57M Sheffield signs to next roundabout, then second exit up ramp to join A57M. Keep to the nearside lane for 200 yards and leave at the next exit signed University; immediately fork right onto the slip road, following the sign for the University. Turn left at the Retro Bar into Charles Street for the NCP car park.

Leave the M6 at Exit 19 and follow A556 Manchester for four miles. Join the M56 Manchester at roundabout and proceed from here as described above for North Wales and Chester.

Leave the M62 at Exit 12 and join M602 Manchester. At end of this motorway, follow A57 Manchester; proceed from here as described for 'the North' above.
