Dr C H Beurskens
Dr Beurskens studied physical therapy at the University of Applied Sciences in Nijmegen and completed a PhD study on "Mime therapy: rehabilitation of facial expression" in 2003.
Beurskens is currently a clinical and research physiotherapist at the Physiotherapy Department and Dentist Faculty at the Radboud University Medical Centre, Nijmegen.
Since 1988 she has delivered post-graduate courses in mime therapy, given to patients with peripheral facial palsies, for physiotherapists and speech therapists in the Netherlands as well as abroad.
Beurskens is also involved in the post-graduate education regarding oral facial pain for physiotherapists and is co-editor of the book "The Facial Palsies, complementary approaches".
Dr D S Labbé
Dr Labbé studied medicine at University Paris Ouest and received his doctorate from the Faculty of Medicine, Paris.
Labbe currently practises in Caen, France as a Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon at the Centre Hospitalier Regional Universitaire de Caen, as well as the Clinique Saint Martin.
He has researched and published extensively internationally on the subject of facial palsy.
He is an active member of the International Society of Plastic Surgery and Association (ISAPS) and Association Francaise des Chirurgiens Maxillofaciaux (AFCMF). He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Societe Francaise de Chirurgie Plasticque Reconstructive et Esthetique (SOFCPRE).
