Mr A O Grobbelaar
Mr Grobbelar completed a South African Fellowship in Plastic Surgery from the South African College of Surgeons in 1993. Following this, he undertook an International Society of Aesthetic Surgery approved Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship with Mr. F. V. Nicolle in London.
Grobbelar is currently Programme Director & Clinical Lead at Royal Free Hospital Hampstead NHS Trust, heading up a multidisciplinary team including a clinical psychologist, physiotherapist, ophthalmologist and skull base surgeon. His special interests include facial re-animation surgery, lower limb reconstruction as well as breast reconstruction.
Grobbelaar is heavily involved in Plastic Surgery training and research and was awarded a Hunterian Professorship by the Royal College of Surgeons of England for research on the surgical treatment of facial paralysis. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University College of London.
